St. Edwards University Main Building

Architexas was selected by Herndon, Stauch & Associates project managers for St. Edwards University, to assess the University’s Main Building and establish guidelines for window, stone, roofing and building envelope restoration. Architexas performed an in-depth survey and assessment of the building’s exterior, documenting each deficient stone, each window and it’s needs, and provided recommendations for restoration. Upon completion of the assessment, elevations were produced documenting the location of stones in need of intervention and the type of repair. A drawing for each window was also produced that noted levels of deterioration. An accurate cost estimate was then produced from these drawings. Architexas also established guidelines for waterproofing the tower, a feature that was experiencing a great deal of water infiltration as well as structural reparis to the attic and tower.
