Colonial Country Club

Fort Worth, Texas
Architexas is leading a highly skilled team of consultants to complete the second phase of a multi-year campus refresh of the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, focusing on the restoration of the iconic Main Clubhouse building.

Founded in 1936 as a family-oriented private club, Colonial Country Club is a landmark of Texas golf history. Its championship course was the first in Texas to feature bentgrass greens, setting a new standard for the sport. Named for its Colonial-style clubhouse, the club has long been home to the prestigious Charles Schwab Challenge, one of the PGA Tour’s longest-running events.

Architexas was hired to provide a much-needed modernization of the Clubhouse interiors that respected the Club’s rich history while also restoring the timeless exterior. The project will provide new men’s and women’s locker rooms and lounges, fitness center, restaurant, and spa areas while providing access to a rebuilt Hogan’s Plaza.

Major scope elements include critical upgrades to original MEP systems, including replacement of the main electrical switch gear and original mechanical systems and upgrades to building accessibility.
