Cass County Courthouse

In 2003, Architexas updated the Cass County Master Plan completed in 2000 to bring it into compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings. Architexas worked with volunteers from the Cass County Conservancy who conducted extensive research and documentation of the building’s history. All of the information gathered was used to create a design and cost approach for the building’s rehabilitation.
In 2008, Architexas assisted the county in preparing a grant application for the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program (THCPP) of the Texas Historical Commission. The county was awarded a planning grant of $340,000 and a construction grant of $4.4 million. The construction phase commenced in 2009 with Architexas providing full preservation architectural services.
