Hotel Lumen

Architexas converted an existing three-story concrete structure into a sixty room, four-story hotel located across from Southern Methodist University campus. The project also included a restaurant and bar. There was extensive planning for the MEP systems integration in a very constrained physical shell. Parking is provided underneath and circulates around the core lobby and restaurant. Future expansion of condominium housing is planning on an adjacent lot. The building required a change of zoning to a Planned Development (PD) from the City of University Park to allow for the addition of a fourth floor.
