Potter County Law Enforcement Complex
Amarillo, Texas
Architexas prepared a master plan for the Law Enforcement Complex for Potter County that resulted in the design of a new Law Enforcement Center Building (43,000 square feet), Vehicle Maintenance Garage (16,800 square feet), and Detention Center Storage Facility. Sitework included the construction of parking lots, roads, landscaping, site lighting, entry signage, and parking and roadway paving replacement around the existing Detention Center.
Architexas provided programming and full architectural services for the buildings, which were all designed for future expansion. The Law Enforcement Center houses the County’s Sheriff Administration Departments, 911 Call Center, and the County’s Central Data Center and will contain a tornado shelter that accommodates the building occupants. The Vehicle Maintenance Building contains an administrative office and break room, indoor storage for the County’s tactical vehicles, and six maintenance bays with lifts and a car wash bay for maintenance of the County’s vehicles. The Storage Building provides storage for dry goods to support the existing County Detention Facility.
