Hope Lutheran Church

Architexas began with a Master Plan for the new congregation of Hope Lutheran Church in Leander, Texas. The Plan establishes a long-term strategy for growth that includes multiple phases of construction; the first being a multi-purpose structure that includes a narthex, sanctuary, classrooms, administrative office, kitchen, and support spaces. The intent is for this initial structure to serve the congregation for several years anticipating growth, followed by a future sanctuary, administrative offices and classroom building allowing this first building to be adapted as a Fellowship Hall.
The congregation’s desire for a contemporary yet economical design resulted in a prefabricated building with additions on the longitudinal sides to house support spaces for the central sanctuary and narthex The design concept resulted in a simple gable end form with soaring wood-latticed ceilings extending beyond glass end walls to open the interior to the site’s heritage live oaks.
