The year was 2000 and Architexas set its sights on Austin. Led by Senior Principal Larry Irsik, this second office location quickly helped to further establish Architexas as one of the leading preservation firms in the state.
Larry and his team of four hit the ground running with significant early projects like the full restoration of the Ellis County Courthouse, Master Plans for Gray County Courthouse and Hardeman County Courthouse, and the restoration of the historic Castleman-Bull House.
In 2004, Susan Frocheur joined the team after having worked in New York and New Jersey for 15 years. Her time spent there was focused primarily on the preservation and restoration of many significant structures in New York City and Long Island with an emphasis on preservation and conservation of historic materials. Susan became a Principal of the firm in 2013.
Stan Graves joined the Austin office in 2013 as Senior Principal after having served as the director of the Architecture Division and Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer of the Texas Historical Commission. Stan brought over 34 years of preservation experience to the Austin team including extensive experience with historic county courthouses across the state.
Today, our Austin team continues to focus on building their higher education and civic portfolio with projects like the Trinity University Master Plan and the San Saba County Courthouse Restoration.
