The oldest structure in Round Rock has a new home.

Slowly but surely, the Stagecoach Inn was moved over the weekend of April 27-29 to its new perch on Brushy Creek along Chisholm Trail. Since 1848, it sat at what is now 901 RM 620, a location that sits in the path of the realignment of RM 620.

Chisholm Trail between Emanuel Street and RM 620 remains closed to through traffic through Monday evening. Crews will be removing a bridge deck they built over the low water crossing at Brushy Creek to provide additional support as the 100-ton limestone structure was moved to its final location.
